we've just moved into our new allston place and it's starting to look quite nice! it's not luxurious or anything, just a $1525/mth place with one good sized bedroom, a good sized living room with open kitchen and a decent bathroom. the place was renovated recently so they put in some really nice kitchen cabinets, a large sink, silver steel appliances, etc etc. basically everything looks pretty nice, except for 2 loose boards in the bathroom (which we will tell management about, of course)

unpacking has been the worst part of this moving business so far, although loading the truck got a bit strenuous too. we thought we accidentally threw out fermata's food (found it later while loading) and had to go get him evo food, which he refused to eat (had to force feed him the stuff!), and as a result was very lethargic for a few days and had weird drippy poo.

yesterday while out looking for a plunger (VERY HARD TO FIND IN THIS AREA DUNNO WHY) we came across a sort of 3-store outlet made up of a supermarket, discount store (selling stationary and basic house supplies) and a home furniture/decor store. planning to head there again tomorrow to get some much needed things for the apartment, and hopefully have the place looking great by tuesday!
