back in boston IT'S -7ºC OUT TODAY AGHHHH SO COLD

i boarded planes a total of 4 times this trip. it'll probably continue to be this way as long as i keep flying SIA (unless Qatar decides to lower fares)... if only Singapore was like in the Middle East or something. then no need so many layovers.

we just got fermata back last night. he's extremely smelly, behaviour-wise more or less the same, slightly skinny (dunno why, maybe he wasn't fed enough!?). got tons of things to do this week - unpack, clean apartment, stock up fridge, etc etc. the apartment was super cold when we got back, even a warm bath didn't help. woke up at 2 am shivering like crazy until XA changed the batteries in the thermostat - now the heater works again! :)

my cough magically got better on the plane - was praying quite hard i wouldn't cough too much just in case passengers complain / i get quarantined in JFK... and aside from the occasional stuck blob of phlegm and dust itch, my throat was surprisingly well behaved *pats throat*

i ordered a roll neck from Asos, hopefully that keeps me a bit warmer; planning to make a quick trip down to Zara sometime soon to stock up on sweaters. i am like so unprepared for winter despite having been in the states for a while now - i think sometimes i forget that Boston is much much much colder than NYC :(
